DIY mini burlap trees

Have you seen those darling mini trees at TJMAXX that you can use to decorate your mantel? I really like them but they are around 20$ each! I decided to make my own for much cheaper.
I think they would be so fun to hand out to friends instead of candy. They smell like Christmas and add a fun decorative touch anywhere they are!
To see some of my other Christmas décor go here.

DIY burlap mini trees
Idea source: Emmy in her Element

Supplies needed:
Burlap
Scissors
Ribbon and twine
Sand or rice
zip lock bag
Pine tree branch
Bells
Foam ball

Directions:
Fill ziplock back with rice or sand, close tightly.
Place on top of two large squares of burlap. Take pine tree branch and push base into foam ball. Place ball on top of sand bag and pull sides of burlap up around the ball, tying a ribbon or string around the gathered part of the burlap at the top of the ball.
Trim excess burlap.

Hand out to friends for Christmas, use as a mantel décor piece or table centerpiece for the Holidays.
